Almost everyone who sweetens gas streams uses iron oxide columns and/or triazine scavenger in contact towers to control H2S. Where does this fit into your H2S / SO2 analysis?
I think they didn't think it through. Lots of gas is field treated as well through dehys. Regardless if you're doing a preliminary scope, you'd use AP-42 unless you had a representative GC analays... and not just assume no H2S
