Does it matter?
And the brushfire is still burning along near the highway and further back at 19:36, while, at 17:36, apparently several tons of liquid oxygen were dumped on the ground from the (simultaneously fuelled) booster behind the launch tower, but the wind fortunately did not blow it towards the flames (presumably as expected by the operators).
And now on 8 Sept 2022, a static fire of probably all 6 engines on Starship # 24 at 16:30 has ignited a brushfire, that has been burning over at least 100m near the highway, for about 10 minutes. See this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwc1owVFs94&ab_channel=LabPadre
Thank you for bringing bringing it to light. If nothing is done it's not because we are not aware but because people don't care enough to do anything about it. Money is a powerful tool!
Each launch of Starship on its booster will cover the entire launch site area with propellant residue, a deluge of noise suppression water - is that a CWA violation also?
have You contacted EarthJustice about this?? they have a regional office in Houston. i forwarded the newsletter link to firstname.lastname@example.org
This needs to Stop.
Hopefully someone passes a tip the appropriate parties to investigate.
